According to Lin Shichao, the deputy director of Xiamen Tourism Administration, Xiamen Tourism Association is now planning to set up an office in Taipei to promote Xiamen’s tourism resources and the Xiamen Annual Travel Card.
Lin said that currently the Xiamen Annual Travel Card is only available directly to Taiwan residents. Next, Xiamen will advertise the card in Taiwan via the media and travel agencies. Taiwan residents will then be able to use Xiamen’s travel agencies to apply for the cards.
It is also understood that Xiamen Tourism Association Taipei Office will get support from Xiamen Airlines Taipei Branch.

The first tourist bus between the two Chinese World Cultural Heritage destinations of Macau and Kaiping is now operating.
The historic centers of Macau and Diaolou and villages in Guangdong province are both inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The historic site have examples of both urban buildings and rural buildings and it is believed that these complementary resources will attract more foreign tourists who are interested in the two kinds of culture.
The bus will run twice a day with a journey time of about two hours.

The Hainan Huarun Shimei Bay Tourism Zone has signed a cooperation agreement with Jiangsu World Group to bring a new international hotel into Shimei Bay.
Occupying a total area of about 165 mu, the hotel project, which is reported to be the third international hotel in the area, will commence at the end of 2010 and is expected to open in 2012.
Prior to this, Le Meridien and The Luxury Collection had opened hotels to Shimei Bay.

China Southern Airlines and China Telecommunications Corporation have inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Guangzhou to launch long-term cooperation in basic communications and aviation services, product supply, and resource utilization.
According to Si Xian Min, the president of China Southern, the two companies have been long-time partners. He added that this new cooperation agreement would certainly improve the IT level and customer service capabilities of China Southern.

It is understood that China Telecom will integrate its key resources to tailor value-added services such as switchboard services, integrated offices, 3G ticket booking, mobile phone two-dimensional bar code check-in, and mobile video surveillance, to support the improvement of internal communications within China Southern; and to work towards the establishment of a perfect sales and service network.

The five-star standard hotel Jiangsu Runao Garden Hotel, a project of Rundili Estate Investment Group, has formally opened its doors.
The hotel is located by Qianzi Lake in Jintan, Changzhou, and covers an area of 153 mu. It is designed with the concepts of “ecology, environmental protection, energy conservation, and comfort”.

In addition, 135 guestrooms with lake views, the hotel also has a 5,000-square-meter garden restaurant, a large ballroom, meeting rooms of various sizes, and western and Chinese restaurants. An indoor swimming pool, a gym, tennis court, and boutique stores offer guests relaxation and entertainment.
