Day 1   ARRIVE KUNMING

On arrival into Kunming, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend of the day exploring beautiful Kunming at your leisure.

Day 2   GOLDEN TEMPLE, STONE FOREST

Spend the day of exploring the Stone Forest, one of China's most remarkable natural phenomena in China. After lunch, continuing to visit the Golden Temple. It is a fine building made of bronze, first built in the 30th year of Emperor Wanli's rule (1602) in the Ming Dynasty. This is the largest Taoist Tongwa (bronze-tiled) Temple in China.   (B/L/D)

Day 3   KUNMING/DALI, ERHAI LAKE PARK, THREE PAGODA, SOUTH GATE OF DALI ANCIENT TOWN

This morning, fly to Dali and check into your hotel. Followed by visit to the Erhai Lake Park, Three Pagodas, and the South Gate of the Dali ancient town. Then, you'll be transferred to sightseeing the Foreigner Street.   (B/L/D)

Day 4   DALI/LIJIANG

Drive to Lijiang, visit the Yan's Compound of Bai Minority in Xizhou and the tie--dyeing in Zhoucheng, where you can enjoy lovely ethical clothes, fairylike programs, decorative architectures, gifted garden parties and wonderful handicrafts. Check in at the hotel. You can choose the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance as optional at night.   (B/L/D)

Day 5   LIJIANG, CITY TOUR

Visit the Square Street of the Old Town of Lijiang. The town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997. The rest of day is free for you to explore the town. You can wander through the beautiful town and have lunch and dinner in the town by yourselves in the afternoon.   (B)

Day 6   BAISHA VILLAGE, ROCK JOSEPH’S FORMER RESIDENCE

After breakfast in the morning, enjoy a full day tour to the Baisha Village, a place you cannot afford to miss as it is a living showcase of ancient Dongba culture. Then, visit the Baisha Murals and a local Naxi family, you can enjoy the Naxi Minorities evening party and Naxi farmer food. Then, continuing to visit the Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village. You can choose the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance as optional at Dongba Palace in the evening.   (B/L/D)

Day 7   LIJIANG/KUNMING, DAGUAN PARK, QIONGZHU TEMPLE, FLOWERS AND BIRDS MARKET

Fly back to Kunming and check into your hotel. Followed by visit to the famous Buddhist Qiongzhu Temple on the beautiful wooded Yu'an Mountain, Daguan Park and the Flowers and Birds Market, a part of a series of streets and markets in central Kunming where an attempt has been made to preserve some of the typical architecture of the region.   (B/L/D)

Day 8   DEPART KUNMING

Highlights

Stone Forest: The Stone Forest(pinyin: Shílín) is a notable set of karst formations in Shilin County, in the Yunnan province of southwest China, approximately 85 km from the city of Kunming. The tall rocks seem to emanate from the ground in the manner of stalagmites, with many looking like trees made of stone, creating the illusion of a forest made of stone.

Golden Temple: Jindian (Golden Temple) Park is the largest Taoist Tongwa (bronze-tiled) temple in China and has been preserved almost intact since it was first built.It is located on the Mingfeng Mountains, seven kilometres to the east of Kunming city, there is a fine building made of bronze. It is commonly known as Jindian (the "Golden Temple").

Erhai Lake Park: The unique natural scenery of the Cangshan Mountain and the Erhai Sea as the background and the unique natural environment of the Tuanshan Mountain with artificial ingenuity create this big park.

Three Pagodas: The Three Pagodas are made of brick and covered with white mud. As its name implies, the Three Pagodas comprise three independent pagodas forming a symmetric triangle. The elegant, balanced and stately style is unique in China’s ancient Buddhist architectures, which makes it a must-see in the tour of Dali.

Rock Joseph's Former Residence: Dr. Rock is best remembered for one of the first westerners to spread the long-isolated Naxi culture worldwide and his rigorous works on Naxi ethnology.

Daguan Park: The Daguan Park is located in the southwestern suburb of Kunming City, is a lakeside park.Today many locals come to sit, drink tea, fly kites, and go boating. There is an ancient pagoda situated in the park, which overlooks the lake to the western hills.

Old Town of Lijiang: The Old Town of Lijiang is a famous UNESCO Heritage Site located in Lijiang City. The town has a history going back more than 800 years and was once a confluence for trade along the old tea horse road. The Lijiang old town is famous for its orderly system of waterways and bridges.

Qiongzhu Temple: The Qiongzhu Temple (or Bamboo Temple) is situated on the Yu'an Mountain to the northwest of Kunming amid wooded peaks, clouds and mist, and flowing streams. It was first built in the Yuan Dynasty.
