Huangpu River: The Huangpu River (literally "Yellow Bank River") is a 97km long river in China flowing through
Shanghai.Huangpu River used to be one branch of the Suzhou River. However, it has become the largest river in Shanghai, and Suzhou River became its branch. It is an average of 400 meters wide and 9 meters deep. Shanghai gets most of its drinking water from Huangpu, which thus plays an important part for the metropolis. It divides the city into two regions: Pudong (east) and Puxi (west).

Jade Buddha Temple: The
Jade Buddha Temple (pinyin: Yùfó Chán Sì) is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai, China. As with most modern Chinese Buddhist temples, the current temple draws from both the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Mahayana Buddhism. It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea.

Yu Garden:
Yu Garden (Pinyin: Yùyuán), located in the center of the Old City in Shanghai, is considered one of the four finest Chinese gardens. The garden was reportedly first established in 1559 as a private garden created by Pan Yunduan, who spent almost 20 years building a garden to please his father Pan En, a high-ranking official in the Ming Dynasty. During the Taiping Rebellion the gardens were occupied by imperial troops, and damaged by the Japanese in 1942. They were repaired by the Shanghai government from 1956-1961, and declared a national monument in 1982.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower: (pinyin: dong fang ming zhu)
Oriental Pearl TV Tower was built in 1994 at a height of 468m (1,550 ft.), it is hailed as the tallest TV tower in Asia and the third tallest in the world. Visit for the stunning panoramas of Shanghai (when the clouds and smog decide to cooperate) and the stellar Shanghai Municipal History Museum located in the basement.
